January – April: 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.
May – September: 8.30 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.
(Museums, princes' chambers, magic theater 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
October – December: 9.30 a.m. –5.00 p.m.
Advent weekends and Easter: 9.30 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.
Please note: On 24th of December, we are closing at 2pm.
Dogs are welcome in the outdoor areas of the fortress when kept on a leash. Dogs are not allowed indoors. The wearing of a muzzle is obligatory in the funicular.
Revision of the Fortress funicular from 04.11.2024 until 08.11.2024 and from 13.01.2025 until 31.01.2025. During this time, you can only reach Hohensalzburg Fortress via the footpath.
